Not impossible to control.

I was never that good at fzero and it has been more than 20 years since I last played it or any other racing game but I still managed to play this!

It is fast and fun and a little frustrating. Great graphics, nice levels, reasonable progression. If you are having a hard time just do some of the simple challenges to buy some upgrades.
